okie is an AI assistant in group chats that helps you and the people you chat with get things done. This policy explains what we collect, how we use and share it, your choices, and your rights. It covers the okie service and our website.

Who we are

Information we collect

What we collect depends on how you use okie.

Information you provide

• Account details. Your messaging account identifier and display name, as provided by the messaging service.
• Messages and content. The messages, links, and photos sent in conversations where okie is present.
• Group memories. What okie remembers for your group. See Memory.

Information we collect automatically

• Usage and diagnostics. How you interact with okie, the features you use, timestamps, and logs that keep the service reliable and secure.

Information from service providers

• Operational data. Delivery status and related metadata from the messaging services we operate on.

We collect only what we need to run and improve okie.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Provide, operate, and improve okie
• Understand context and generate responses
• Monitor performance, debug, prevent abuse, and keep the service safe
• Meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms

We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

AI processing and message content

okie uses AI to understand messages and reply. Message content and context are processed by third-party AI providers to generate responses.

We may use de-identified data, with names and account identifiers removed, to improve okie, such as evaluating and improving its responses.

AI outputs may be inaccurate. Verify anything important independently. okie does not give medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice.

Memory

okie keeps memories for each group so it can help the whole group. This can include information about the people in your group.

How we share information

We share information only in limited cases:

• Service providers. Vendors that deliver messages, host and back up infrastructure, generate AI responses, and help us secure and improve okie. They may use your information only for us, under contract.
• Other people in your chats. Participants in a conversation see okie's replies. okie also processes others' messages in that conversation to respond.
• Legal and safety. To comply with law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of okie, our users, or others.
• Business transfers. As part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

Group chats and other participants

In a group, okie processes the conversation's messages to respond, and its replies are visible to everyone. Be mindful of what you share where okie is present.

Data retention

We keep information until you ask us to delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. To ask, see Your choices.

Your choices

• Stop messages. Remove okie from a conversation anytime.
• Delete your data. Email [email protected]. We process deletion within 30 days; backup copies clear shortly after. Some data may be kept where the law requires.
• Correct your data. Ask okie or email us to fix what we hold about you.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or get a copy of your information, and to opt out of certain uses. Email [email protected] to exercise them. We verify requests, respond within legal timeframes, and won't discriminate against you for asking.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls, monitoring, and de-identification to protect your identity. No system is perfectly secure. If a security incident affects your personal information, we will notify you and regulators as the law requires, without undue delay.

Children

okie is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child gave us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will revise the effective date above and, for material changes, give notice through okie, our website, or other reasonable means. Continued use means you accept the update.
